### A Throwback to the Golden Age of Parties: Sunday at SlateNYC

This past Sunday, May 26th, SlateNYC played host to a vibrant celebration reminiscent of the golden days of partying. Organized by the dynamic duo @gfcprez and @mrceogfc, this event was aptly named "How Parties Used to Be," a tribute to the spirited and carefree gatherings of the 90s and early 00s. It was a refreshing departure from the modern party scene dominated by bottle service, hookah, bougieness, and VIP sections. Instead, this event focused on what truly matters: singing, dancing, and having a blast.

### A Star-Studded DJ Lineup

The musical journey of the evening was masterfully curated by renowned DJs @tedsmooth, @djscratch, and @djmadscientist. Each brought their unique flair to the turntables, spinning classic hits that had the crowd grooving non-stop. Their sets were a perfect blend of nostalgia and high-energy beats, ensuring that the dance floor was always packed.

### A Blast from the Past

The venue was filled to the brim with partygoers, many of whom embraced the throwback theme by donning their best outfits from the era. From baggy jeans and oversized jerseys to vintage sneakers and colorful accessories, the fashion was a delightful nod to a time when style was all about personal expression and comfort.

### Capturing the Moment

As a photographer, this event was a dream to capture. The energy on the dance floor was palpable, with everyone singing along to their favorite tracks and dancing like there was no tomorrow. The crowd’s enthusiasm was infectious, and every frame captured the essence of pure, unadulterated fun. Despite being a day party that ended at 10 PM, the atmosphere felt like a 3 AM crowd let-out, with attendees leaving all their energy on the floor.

### Looking Forward

This event was a true celebration of what makes parties unforgettable: great music, a lively crowd, and an atmosphere where everyone feels free to let loose and enjoy themselves. It was a pleasure to photograph such a dynamic and joyful gathering, and I eagerly look forward to more events like this. Here’s to hoping that "How Parties Used to Be" becomes a regular occurrence, bringing back the magic of the past for new generations to experience.

Stay tuned for more snapshots and stories from this unforgettable night, and if you missed out, make sure you catch the next one. You won’t want to miss it!
