Throwback to 2000s

I love the early 2000s. For a while now, I've been wanting to go to an early 2000s-themed party, but my schedule never lined up. I’m the type of person who, if I want to experience something, I’ll just create the experience myself. So, this past Sunday, May 19th, we had our first 2000s-themed pop-up shop event. Shout out to DJ Loose Cannon for doing his thing with the music—he had everyone dancing all day long. It was great to see the vendors dancing and enjoying themselves too. Pursuing your passions and expanding your business can be hectic, but it was so nice to see everyone having a good time. Big thank you to our vendors: Skyn Organics, Embellished By Drea, VCE Clothing, Lucky Rabbit Foot, PVT_NY, Fcus Clothing, Mined Your Energy, Glitzy Jazzy, Taino Gift Store, 27 Candles, Nonchalant Sophistication, and Nails By Yoshii. It was a pleasure working with you on this event! Cyn of Ask Grl Cave helped me host the event, and I am so glad that God aligned our paths to cross. Her drive, ambition, and positivity are exactly what High Society events want to encourage. Anthony, the photographer of Greenehouse Photos, had his station set up and took some fire pictures—I can’t wait to see them.
Curating these events truly brings us so much joy. I'm grateful to have a team filled with like-minded people who genuinely want to bring people together and cultivate a positive atmosphere where guests can network, relax, and have a good time. But now, let’s get to the deeper part because this blog wouldn’t scream "Natalie" if I didn’t get a bit emotional, LOL.
Five years ago, on May 19th, I graduated from graduate school. I had just completed my program in Speech-Language Pathology. I was 26 years old, moving back in with my parents, and feeling apprehensive and anxious about my future. Would I get a job? Would I finally be able to leave Costco, where I worked for nine years as a supervisor? If someone had told me then that five years later, in 2024, I would be a homeowner, solidified in my career, and a business owner curating events, I wouldn't have believed it.
I'm so looking forward to what I will accomplish in the next five years. Here’s to more amazing events, growth, and embracing every step of the journey.
